Calvet is a French brand specializing in Bordeaux wines and selected curves from the leading French wine regions.
Jeanne Marie Calvet’s passion for wine became his fate: he was born in 1799 in the small town of Taine l’Hermitage and grew up in one of France’s most
significant wine-growing regions: the Rhone Valley.
As a child, he often helped his father, Pierre Calvet, on the family vineyard instead of playing with kids his age.
He confirmed his passion for wine at the age of 19 when he decided to found the Calvet company and set out on a journey through France, studying the characteristics of each wine-growing region, to become the undisputed wine expert. This experience is one of the reasons why Calvet’s various product lines are so successful. The city of Bordeaux is well known for its wine tradition, history, and authority, and Jean-Marie chose it as a strategic location for his company. It would be a shame if the world could not taste such exceptional and recognized wines …
This brand is widely known and popular in more than 110 countries worldwide.
Calvet wines will turn 200 years old in 2018.
Calvet wines combine tradition and modernity.
