The history of the Casa Vinicola Decordi winery began in 1921 when the Decordi family ran a small cafe serving their wines and traditional Italian dishes. At that time, the estate produced large volumes of red wines based on the Ancellotta, Fortana, and Lambrusco varieties. Wines were so much in demand among visitors that the family decided to take up winemaking in earnest. Thus, at the beginning of 1925, the foundation of the future winery was laid, which, at moment, has existed for more than 90 years.
In the 1920s, the winery began cultivating vineyards. In the same period, the first blends of wines started to be created, sold in bottles and on tap. Officially, the winery «Casa Vinicola Decordi» was registered in 1937. By the beginning of 1950, the plant’s construction with a volume of wine production of 3,000,000 liters per year was fully completed! In the 1970s, the winery introduced a new line of wines, and in the 1980s, the estate began exporting its wines to America and Europe and in the 1990s to Japan.
In the historical building of the plant, wooden barrels of bygone times are preserved, and now more than 200 steel tanks equipped with electronic control of temperature, pressure, and other parameters are used in production. All these innovations allow you to control the winemaking process, from harvesting to bottling. Decordi products are well known in the international market. For many years, the company has been providing Italian wines of the highest quality to all corners of the world, in particular to Japan, as well as to the markets of South and North America, becoming the only representative of Italian wines for many importers.
