In the 18th century, when French settlers rented the lands of the Athos Zograf Monastery. The French intuitively guessed that the terroir is unique, like the famous region of Bordeaux.
Only a decade later, the fact was confirmed that the Purcari vineyards are located on the same latitude as the famous vineyard region, and the soil rich in rubidium gives the wine a rich purple color, which is also specific for Bordeaux wines.
The owners started the production of red wines, which gained popularity as exceptional wines with an intense and complex bouquet.
Purcari wines are exported to over 25 countries: the Czech Republic, Slovenia, China, Poland, the Baltic States, etc.
For you, after almost two centuries of history and taste, Château Purcari brings to life a creative fantasy, sparkling wine Cuvée de Purcari, made by the classic champagne method.
