Carolans Irish Cream is a premium cream liqueur created in 1978 and quickly gained popularity in many countries. The liquor got its name in honor of the famous Irish composer and musician of the 17th century Thorl O’Carolan. The best ingredients for the production of Carolan’s liqueur are natural heavy cream, the favorite Irish whiskey Tullamore Dew, chocolate, and heather honey. The unique process of making liquor begins with combining whiskey and neutral alcohol. The cream, water, and stabilizer are then mixed in stainless steel vats at high temperatures, a delicate process strictly controlled with state-of-the-art equipment. The composition of the cream is added to the alcohol base along with honey and chocolate. All components are mixed until a homogeneous mass. Before bottling, each batch of liquor undergoes quality control, which ensures that high standards are maintained and that only the best product is bottled. Today, Carolans Irish Cream ranks second among Irish cream liqueurs. It is sold in more than 80 countries around the world. Carolans Irish Cream won the Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2009.
The liqueur is light creamy-beige in color, has a rich, creamy aroma with chocolate tones, and has a rich, optimally sweet creamy taste with hints of caramel and cocoa.
Traditionally, it is recommended to drink liquor from small glass or crystal glasses – bowls, if desired, can be cooled with ice. The liqueur goes well with coffee and is also used to create a variety of cocktails and desserts. Thus, Carolans Irish Cream is a versatile drink suitable for a family lunch or dinner and will help decorate a romantic meeting.
