Manufacturer History J. Garcia Carrion has 130 years of experience and work. García Carrión has its roots in Jumilla in southwestern Spain. Several centuries ago, the current owners’ ancestors grew grapes and made wine at their winery.
Since 1968, the company has been managed by José Garcia Carrión. In 1997, his son Luciano assumed the position of Vice President, which served as an impetus to take the company’s exports to a new level.
Garcia Carrion is the owner of 15 factories and wineries throughout Spain. Import products to 150 countries of the world and the market leader in the production of still and sparkling wines in Spain.
CAVA PATA NEGRA is produced at the JAUME SERRA plant, which is: one of the most extensive Cava production facilities in Spain, with an area of about 4 hectares (42 thousand m2); the most highly efficient winery (production indicator is 1 million bottles per 1 employee per year); a particular control system implemented in an automated warehouse ensures product quality tracking at all stages of production and aging of Cava; the system process allows you to track each bottle continuously and with data updates, instead of regularly analyzing individual batches.
The bottling line for sparkling wines is unique and exclusive. In partnership with Krones, a bottling line for sparkling wines of the traditional method was developed, which made it possible to achieve a capacity of 24,000 bottles/hour. The rest of the production processes take place with the use of robots.
