Monkey Shoulder is a whiskey created by blending malt from three of the best spice side distilleries – Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie. Triple malt gives whiskey smoothness and rich taste, allowing you to enjoy it as an excellent digestif and create exciting and tasty cocktails based on it. The name «Monkey» whiskey was in honor of the old winemaker from the plant William Grant, one of the few who made malting barley by hand with a wooden shovel. Due to repeatedly bending over the shovel during the turn, the man suffered a shoulder injury and was nicknamed «Monkey». Working methods have changed, and manual labor is no longer used.
Whiskey is produced in a small batch of 27 bourbon barrels and bottled with a unique design. Three brass monkeys symbolize the three malt components that make up a single whole.
Whiskey has a light amber color, in the aroma of whiskey malt sweetness, nuances of custard, marmalade, and banana, whiskey taste is smooth, rounded, vanilla, with hints of honey and orange, and light menthol aftertaste. Whiskey is perfect as a digestif, a component of cocktails, with a cigar.
