The most anticipated drink by Ukrainian bartenders, Smokey Monkey Shoulder is already available for orders.Smokey Monkey first appeared in Ukraine last year and until that time was available in the US and the UK only.
Despite adding Highland Malt spirits (alcohols) to the Smokey Monkey, it continues to be a Blended Malt whiskey.
William Grant & Sons, which produces Monkey Shoulder, as well as single malt Glenfiddich and Balvenie, cooperated with bartenders to create Smokey Monkey as a sweeter substitute for traditional peat malt in cocktails such as Old Fashioned, Penicillin and Ginger Monkey.
Smoky Monkey Shoulder is produced using malt whiskey dried Highland peat. Then it is ripening in barrels of former first-fill bourbon and bottled at 40 degrees. A blend master Brian Kinsman described its hints like «soft vanilla, spicy and citrus savor… Our original liquor, covered with dry smoke».
Monkey Shoulder global ambassador Joe Petch said in an interview: «Smokey Monkey was created mainly because we were asked by leading bartenders from around the world».
A mixture of different malt whiskeys, one of which is peaty, was specially created to add a smoky taste to classic Scotch whiskey cocktails.
Smokey Monkey is for sale only in cocktail bars. Its role is to continue to increase the interest of bartenders in Monkey Shoulder and with their help make others love this brand.
